Harper

Harper has Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome, a rare disorder affecting mobility and development. With support from Beazer Homes Foundation, SOARD provided her with a safe, wheelchair-accessible bathroom designed for lifelong care.

The Story

Harper was born with Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome, a rare disorder that brings profound daily challenges. She is nonverbal and, though she bravely walks with braces, simple tasks like getting in and out of the tub became exhausting hurdles. Her parents often struggled, lifting her with love even as it made bath time physically draining and unsafe. Understanding Harper would always need help, SOARD set out to ease her burden—creating a safe, comfortable, and empowering space. We are deeply grateful to give Harper a bathroom crafted for dignity, independence, and hope.
